Tall Tales and Short Stories Of The Manchester Ship Canal was written and published by Eccles Library Writers in 1994 to mark the Centenary year of the Manchester Ship Canal (1894 to 1994)

The book is a rare collection of stories from a bygone age collected by the Eccles Library Writers.  They include tales from a working Ship Master, retired Pilot, Public Relations Officer, ex Dockers and many others who contributed to its production.
